Art Enrichment sessions are a fun opportunity for families to spend time in the classroom teaching students about master artists. All plans and materials are provided, and no knowledge of art or experience is necessary! Sessions run most smoothly with the help of 2-4 volunteers.

Art Enrichment Supplies in the PTO Closet
Confirm with the classroom teacher the date and time. You will need about 15 extra minutes before the scheduled time to gather and set up materials.
In the main office:
Get a key to the PTO closet.
Borrow a cart.
Outside of the PTO closet:
Take a lesson folder from the bin on the ground.
Fill out the “folder check out” form on the wall above the bin.
In the PTO closet:
Against the wall on the left when you enter, find the bin labeled with your grade level and artist.
Further along that wall is a box of newspapers. Take some to cover student desks. Help yourself to other supplies (buckets, cups, etc.) from this area if the lesson requires them.
Past the newspapers and other supplies is the “Masterpiece Cabinet.” Unlock the padlock at the bottom of the cabinet and take the large folder of posters associated with your lesson.
In the classroom:
Prep any materials before you begin with students - fill cups of water, organize materials, pour paint, etc.
Enjoy the time in your child’s classroom!
After the lesson:
Wash brushes with water AND soap.
Pack up the box as you found it.
Leave brushes out of the box to dry.
Return materials to the PTO closet.
Return cart and keys to the main office.
